Jim Payne

Jim's focus is representing clients before the IRS and Florida Department of Revenue.  After graduating from Florida State University in 1973 he become a Florida CPA. His work experience includes time as an IRS Agent, a Controller for an International Road Builder in Central America, CFO for a multi-state retailer, and owner of a CPA firm.   

 

Jim is also a software developer and has written much of the software used by Backoffice.

Jim is an instrument rated private pilot with over 1600 hours of flight time. At one time he was a passionate skydiver with over 900 jumps. His other past passions have included open water scuba diving and cave diving. Today his major hobby is backpacking and he has hiked the Appalachian Trail from Springer Mountain to the Shenandoah in Virginia.    

  

Jim and his wife Pam have lived in Gainesville, Florida since 1999.
